10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized board in any stream
Minimum 50% marks in Class XII (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates)
No prior teaching experience required
No upper age limit for B.El.Ed admission
Class XII appearing students may apply provisionally
Entrance test may be required by some universities
Note: B.El.Ed is a 4-year programme starting after Class XII — no graduation required. This makes it a faster and more specialized route to elementary school teaching compared to B.Ed.
